The Awakening Festival is aimed at getting people to take responsibility for their actions in relation to the health of the planet and community they live in.

How do we heal the future by understanding and utilising the lessons of the past?

Looking for people to be involved in the organisation of the festival EarthBound Earth Based Strategies Communing and Living with the Earth New Economy Healing the planet Communities to create greater good Food / Gardening / Environment Composting / Recycling Practical Applications for Everyday use

The First Step, Where do we start? How do we start? These are questions that are commonly asked, it is always the stumbling block, it is always the hardest step to take. Our aim is to be the foundation upon which people will take this first step, why? because we feel so deeply about the issue of what is happening to the Earth and would like to help others to understand what is happening and how we can, by each of us doing something, change and turn the wheel on this destruction and start the healing for the Earth. The evidence is so easy to see but so hard to look at. Every day wherever we are we can see the destruction of the Earth, but it seems too large to even know where to begin. From the rubbish in our neighbourhood to what is floating in the ocean. The destruction of forests, to the devastation of habitats for animals. We feel powerless to know where to start. So where do we start? We start by providing a vibrant safe place that people can stay, play and share over the weekend, we will encourage the forming of many smaller communities in close proximity to each other to encourage each other to work together for the betterment of the Earth and to allow the exchange of ideas and spreading the message of healing the planet, reaching out to others on what can be done and how easy it is to start protecting and healing Mother Earth. We will encourage those ideas that are already created by sharing them and helping others in their pursuits of culture and creative ideas. As part of our commitment, we will invite many different speakers and presenters to come and share their beliefs on how they live, work or play in a sustainable world and how they can help others to start their journey.
